Surgeons today work in a litigious environment and may be subject to investigation from a number of different sources. These include their employer (usually a Trust) the regulator (the GMC) or as a result of complaints arising from allegations of medical negligence (the civil courts).
Pelican Cancer Foundation and the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) are collaborating to deliver the Pelican IMPACT programme for all colorectal MDTs in Great Britain and Ireland in 2018/19. An excellent steering committee has helped to design an original one day workshop.
