Jared Torkington trained in medicine at St Mary’s Hospital, London and underwent surgical training in both London and Wales. His sub-specialty training in colorectal surgery was obtained in Cardiff, Swansea and St Marks Hospital in London.

Laura graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London and surgical training was undertaken in London, Oxford and the Northwest. This was followed by a National ALSGBI/RCS Eng Laparoscopic Colorectal Fellowship in Leeds in 2015.
