This course will help participants to develop self-awareness of their learning styles, individual strengths and development needs. It will also discuss service improvement including writing business cases and discuss areas such as time management and work life balance.
Perioperative care practitioners (PCPs) and surgical first assistants (SFAs) can improve their intra-operative performance and help them observe and rate intra-operative non-technical skills on this course. You will recognise the importance of non-Technical skills of all team members during operative surgery; discuss the underlying principles of non-technical skills; and identify and rate these skills.
The event encompasses a full day of talks and networking. The morning session will focus on radiology, pathology, pregnancy and endoscopic innovations in IBD surgery, with a high level IBD discussion MDT. This will be followed by sessions on innovation, abdominal wall reconstruction, national directions in UK IBD surgery, cutting edge IBD surgery techniques and UK/European expert keynotes.
A multi disciplinary day aimed at anyone interested in developing new studies in colorectal surgery. The day will be interactive and hands on with group discussion faciliatated by experienced researchers, trial methodologists, patients and funders along with journal and industry representation.
