Advanced Coloprocology Course
The Advanced Coloproctology Course has been successfully run for over 20 years. ACC 2023 took place on 22-23 March 2023.
Following the huge success of the 2022 meeting which grew the ACC audience exponentially, we have decided to produce 2023 in much the same way to ensure a worldwide reach.
The course is primarily aimed at trainees and consultant colorectal surgeons but will have lots of content relevant for general surgeons and allied health care professionals.

Presentations, Videos & Papers
We are delighted to share the recording of the Colonoscopy webinar held on 6 November 2023.
We were fortunate enough to hear from Keith Siau, Associate Professor in Gastroenterology at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust who delivered a compelling presentation on the diagnosis and management of Non-Polyp pathology and Nicola Fearnhead, representing the CReST2 trial management group, provided valuable insights into their work and delivered an enlightening presentation on Colonic Strictures, particularly with reference to the CREST studies. As CREST 2 is not yet published, we are unable to share this information, but will make it widely available as soon as possible, as it is very informative.
We are confident that the recording of these presentations will prove to be an invaluable resource in your ongoing professional development.
Thank you to Katie Cross and to the Colonoscopy sub-committee for all their support.

This on-demand teaching session is perfect for medical professionals looking to learn more about surgery for colorectal trainees! Learn about the job of a general surgeon with a pediatric interest, the resources and services needed, the elective and emergency surgeries performed, and get a firsthand account of pediatric surgeries in a small to medium sized DGH. Hear from someone who has trained to perform Antegrade Colon Enemas and Pyloric Stenosis, even though those surgeries aren’t necessary in their position. This is a great opportunity to learn about the career and the exams required, as well as what to do with malformations and anomalies referred to the clinic.
