About ACPGBI

This initial event for the pilot training initiative was held on 13 to 14 October and was very well received by all 30 participants

ACPGBI Pilot Training Initiative for TATME: Cadaveric Workshop ACPGBI Pilot Training Initiative for TATME: Cadaveric Workshop In addition to rehearsing the key skills for TATME, the delegates were able to interact with several of the TATME faculty and industrial partners (Medtronic, Applied Medical, Conmed/ Lawmed and Stryker).  All the participants were particularly impressed with the facilities available at the Cuschieri Skills Centre in Dundee and the high quality of technical support provided by the local staff. The whole group were able to clarify the stages of this project and their roles and responsibilities for the next step.  Attendance by a team (2 consultants and at least one theatre practitioner) from each pilot site should ensure that each centre will be well prepared to move to the clinical preceptorship phase over the coming weeks.
