Colorectal Disease are offering two bursaries for Junior Editors.

Applicants should be at the end of higher training or at the beginning of consultant practice. Although no previous publishing experience is expected, applicants must have scientific curiosity and the ability to write well in English, with a facility for constructive criticism.  They must demonstrate a willingness to work with the Editorial team. Applications from any country will be welcomed. The post will involve the following commitments:

• Attending (by teleconference) editorial meetings three or four times annually;
• Attending in person an editorial meeting at the ACPGBI or ESCP annual conference;
• Assisting the editors in the handling of papers, from submission to publication;
• Undertaking a research project relating to publishing in coloproctology, to be agreed with the Editors.

Tenure will be for a period of 12 months, renewable for a further 12 months on assessment of performance. Successful candidates will each receive a bursary of £1000 to contribute to necessary travel and any accommodation expenses.
