The aim of the webinar is to provide an educational resource for trainees who have had their endoscopy training significantly impacted on by the pandemic and practicing Surgical endoscopists who are interested in up-skilling and taking on roles in interventional endoscopy or screening. Improving the profile of surgical endoscopists and endoscopy training is one of ACPGBIs key strategic aims currently and the webinar series will go some way towards doing this.

An urgent debate is required to decide what endoscopy training is required of a colorectal surgeon and how a robust training system can be put in place to ensure this is achieved.
