Join BDRF for a sandpit discussion event which will explore gaps in the current research agenda.
Expert professionals in the fields of colorectal cancer, gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease will come together with patients in this unique event. They will spend the day looking at the most urgent needs, concerns and challenges of all aspects of life with an ileostomy, and discussing how to tackle them.
BDRF want to build research collaboratives and expand existing research teams, constructing a clear agenda and nurturing new research. This will underpin a special set of grants to projects focussed solely on improving the lives of ostomates.
It is anticipated that circa £200k of funding will be available for projects generated from this event. Applications will be invited and peer-reviewed by the ACPGBI.
Lunch will be provided and reasonable travel expenses will be covered for all attendees.
