The North West Thames Regional Genetics Service, in conjunction with Bowel Cancer UK/ Beating Bowel Cancer, has curated a study day aimed at colorectal cancer nurses and allied health professionals practising within colorectal teams.
This study day will aid with the implementation of NICE guidelines on universal IHC testing, and educate on how early genetic diagnosis may help prevent cancer and reduce mortality.
This study day aims to help participants:
• Identify individuals and families that may benefit from increased screening and genetic counselling
• Gather family history data and perform risk assessment
• Understand and implement new NICE guidelines on Lynch syndrome genetic testing
• Learn common cancer susceptibilities and explore how early genetic diagnosis may help prevent cancer and reduce mortality.
Who is the training for?
This training is suitable for those practising within colorectal teams in both inpatient and outpatient setting.
