The flagship course of St Mark’s runs over four days, with symposia covering many of the most important topics in intestinal and colorectal disease. This annual event is truly multidisciplinary and is attended by a large number of national and international delegates. We are delighted to welcome to St Mark’s our invited guest speakers for 2017: Professor Mike Kamm from Australia, Sir Francis Avery Jones Professor, and Professor Søren Laurberg from Denmark, our Sir Alan Parks Visiting Professor. The first three days 28th to 30th November will take place at St Mark’s Hospital and will offer a variety of cutting edge symposia including:

  • IBD at the margins – the young, the old and the pregnant
  • Biofeedback and beyond
  • IBD and cancer
  • Getting the best outcomes for our colorectal cancer patients
  • Live endoscopy and operating
Our clinical director Professor Robin Phillips is retiring towards the end of 2017 and to celebrate his professional career and mark this milestone the last day on Friday 1stDecember will take place at the Royal College of Physicians in central London. Celebrating a life in surgery symposia will include:
