Programme overview
This course is designed for all healthcare professionals starting or undertaking total pelvic floor ultrasound (transperineal, transvaginal) scanning.
The course will cover multicompartmental pelvic floor anatomy, pathologies and their assessment on integrated total pelvic floor ultrasound (transperineal and transvaginal ultrasound).
The course will cover topics on how to perform and interpret transperineal and transvaginal scans. Specific pathologies which will be reviewed rectocoele, enterocoele, intussusception and cystocoele.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from experts at Guy’s and St Thomas’ on anatomy and take part in Workshops to practice how to assess and interpreting scans.

This course is offered nationwide and to all cohorts of specialties within the world of pelvic floor health. This will include consultant surgeons physicians, clinical nurse specialists, clinical scientists, GI physiologists, pelvic floor physiotherapists and registrars – all from both urology, uro-gynaecology and colorectal backgrounds.
