The IBD Newcastle: The Emma Stuart Memorial Symposium 2023, taking place on Wednesday 29th November at The Catalyst, Newcastle University.
his event is a national, free to attend, clinical IBD educational meeting held in Newcastle upon Tyne.
An outstanding group of speakers will discuss ‘IBD across the life course’. We consider holistic aspects of IBD care including diagnosis and care coordination of monogenic IBD, dietary therapy, sex, pregnancy and lactation, considerations of management in the elderly patient and those with current or prior malignancy. State of the art updates will be provided on small molecules, management of perianal Crohn’s and how to approach musculoskeletal symptoms in IBD patients. We will consider the future landscape of care provision and training and discuss the possibility of disease prediction and prevention.
