Biography
Qualifying from Cambridge University and the London Hospital Medical School, I am now a Consultant Coloproctologist at University Hospital's Birmingham. I have a major interest in pelvic floor disorders including obstructive defaecation and faecal incontinence. I am on the executive of the Pelvic Floor Society. I regularly perform colonoscopy and treat benign disorders of the ano-rectum such as piles and fissures.
I have held a number of management positions within the NHS and was the inaugural chair of the National Clinical Reference Group for Specialised Colorectal Services.
