Biography
Andy studied undergraduate medicine at Hertford College Oxford from 1991 until 1994 and then transferred to St. George\'s Hospital, London to complete his clinical training in 1997. He has been a Consultant at St. George\'s since 2011.
His registrar rotation was in South West Thames finishing with a Fellowship at St. Thomas\' Hospital, London.
Between 2002 and 2004 Andy worked as a Research Registrar at Imperial College (based at St. Mary\'s Hospital, London) and gained his Postgraduate MD with a thesis exploring the role of chemokines in colorectal cancer spread.
His main NHS work involves treatment of bowel cancer with an interest in laparoscopic surgery as well as pelvic floor disorders and day surgery proctology. He is currently the colorectal cancer lead at St. George\'s.
