Biography
Evripidis is a General Surgery Registrar in Yorkshire and a PhD candidate at the University of Sheffield, writing on surgical education. He is currently serving as the Dukes' Club Education and Training representative. Clinically, at present, he is based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where he works as an Out of Programme Clinical Research Fellow in General Surgery. He aspires to become a Colorectal Surgeon at the end of his training. His research focuses on integrating evidence-based medicine (EBM) into general surgery training, addressing the complexities of educational interventions and the cultural, hierarchical, and dogmatic barriers that hinder its adoption. His mixed-method research goal is the integration of EBM into the existing General Surgery curriculum. Beyond his academic and clinical roles, he works with the Royal College of Surgeons of England Pride in Surgery Forum, advocating for diversity and inclusion within surgery. With a commitment to advancing surgical education, he actively contributes to shaping the future of evidence-based surgical practice.
