Biography
Qualified with honours from University of Manchester in 1995; PhD from the University of Manchester; and surgical training in North West; with ACP Travelling Fellowship in 2009. Appointed as senior lecturer in cancer studies and surgery to the University of Manchester in 2007 through the HEFCE 'new blood lectureship awards; promoted to full professor in 2013. Hunterian Professor in 2011/12. Honorary Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and core member of the Manchester Peritoneal Tumour Service since 2007.
