Professional background
Mark Davies trained at The London Hospital Medical College. Having spent two years in research at the Royal Free Hospital, London he completed his higher surgical training in Cardiff, Swansea & Manchester. He was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in Swansea in 2007 where he has developed an expertise in inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.  
Mr. Davies has a busy clinical practice in the broader aspects of colorectal surgery including minimal access surgery, colorectal cancer and proctology. He is a senior clinical tutor at Swansea University, Chair of the Colorectal Cancer National Specialty Advisory Group and a member of The Court of Examiners of The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has extensively published and remains a committed surgical trainer and educator.
