Biography
I was appointed as a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at the West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds in February 2015, and then took on Consultant role at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in August 2021. I qualified from King’s College School of Medicine, London in 2000. I undertook my higher surgical training in the Oxford Deanery and was selected for a highly competitive national Ethicon Laparoscopic Colorectal fellowship in Nottingham in 2013.
My research interests include patient safety, colorectal cancer and pelvic floor disorders. My MD thesis was based on a quality improvement programme evaluating the translation of teamwork and communications methods from aviation to the operating theatre.
