Biography
Anne has been a Consultant Colorectal surgeon at North Bristol NHS Trust since 2003 Clinical Director for Surgery from 2010-2015 and is now Medical Director of the West of England Academic Health Science Network.
She has an interest in patient safety and has been shortlisted for national awards for clinical leadership, surgical checklists, an electronic 2-week wait referral system, reducing surgical site infection (SSI) and winner of national patient safety awards for work on NG tube safety, the National Early Warning Score and emergency laparotomy. Most recently she has lead the PreciSSIon collaborative to reduce SSI across 7 hospitals
