About ACPGBI
This year’s charity cycle challenge for Bowel Cancer West riders is 110 miles. Last year 26 intrepid riders made it to Land’s End; this year it is to another iconic landmark in the south west – Glastonbury. For 2012 we have at least 40 brave souls registered to ride. The first challenge is Dartmoor. We will reach Exeter for breakfast with Ben Bradshaw; MP and ex Minister for Health as well as being a keen cyclist. Then we will touch the edge of the Blackdown Hills and cross the Somerset Levels to reach our destination. Several staff members from Derriford Hospital and the Plymouth Nuffield Hospital are in the group and already several thousands of pounds have been collected in sponsorship. Bowel cancer is unfortunately a common disease affecting 30 000 individuals in the UK each year. Bowel Cancer West, a new charity has already supported 3 local research projects aimed at improving the lives of West Country patients with the illness. We have also had local bowel cancer awareness and primary care campaigns. If you want to support us by sponsorship of the Bowel cancer West Charity Cycle Ride to Glastonbury, Please give generously at: http://www.justgiving.com/bowelcancerwest you can also donate £10 by just texting  BCWP22 There will be no charge for this on a mobile.
