Bowel Research UK is now accepting applications for its 2026 UK PhD Grants Round, supporting the next generation of researchers working across all areas of bowel disease.
 

The charity welcomes applications from both clinical and non-clinical researchers investigating all topics within bowel disease research.

The lead applicant of any proposal must be based at a UK institution. Grants of up to £150,000 are available, with a standard project duration of 36 months.
 

Funding high-quality PhD research remains a key part of Bowel Research UK’s strategy to build research capacity and generate the evidence needed to improve outcomes for people living with bowel cancer and other bowel diseases.
 

Application deadline: Before 5.00pm, 20 July 2026
