As we come to the end of 2025, I thank you on behalf of ACPGBI for your continued dedication to caring for patients in what remain challenging times for the NHS, and I hope you can take some restorative time so we can face the year ahead with renewed energy.

Preparation for our 2026 Annual Meeting in Belfast is well underway, and we are now inviting abstract submissions. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your research, innovations and contributions to coloproctology. I strongly encourage members at all career stages to submit their work and be part of a vibrant scientific programme.

The programme for ACC 2026 promises a rich blend of clinical updates, research highlights, and educational sessions. Registration will be opening soon, with early bird discounts available until the end of January 2026. Please register early to secure your place and benefit from reduced fees.

Membership renewal for 2026 begins on 6 January. To ensure your membership never lapses, and that you retain uninterrupted access to all ACPGBI benefits, I strongly encourage you to consider paying by Direct Debit. This simple step ensures continuity while reducing administrative burden.
