A team of ACPGBI members travelled to Lutsk in Ukraine In November 2023. We delivered a 5-day course on the principles of laparoscopic colorectal surgery combining lectures, dry labs and live operating.

Another unit in Ukraine has requested assistance developing their service on a 1:1 basis. A small team of surgeons is required to operate with them.

The trip, in conjunction with the charity Smart Medical Aid, is broadly fully funded and will take place from the 19-26 May 2024.
