About ACPGBI

One additional applicant from the Ordinary Membership Category

The ACPGBI has established a new committee dedicated to producing robust and evidence-based guidelines. These guidelines are crucial in underpinning modern clinical practice and governance, as well as supporting the development and relevance of the Association’s own journal, Colorectal Disease.

However, guideline development requirements have significantly changed in recent years, with a "step-change" in methodology utilizing AGREE II, AGREE-S, and GRADE. This has increased the volume and complexity of work required, leaving many Colorectal Specialists unfamiliar with the new system.

To address this issue, the ACPGBI Guidelines Committee will lead and support the development of guidelines, working to ensure that members and the wider clinical community receive the support they need.

We invite applications from the entire Ordinary Membership Category for the Committee's six vacancies.

Please submit expressions of interest to include a covering letter and one A4 page abridged CV to Graham Branagan, Honorary Secretary

Application deadline: Friday 19 January 2024
