Vacancy for Senior Clinical Trustee

The revised Board of Trustees of ACPGBI was established in 2017, and currently is comprised of Executive members, Clinical members, and Lay members.  A Senior Clinical Trustee position on the board is soon to become vacant on completion of the term of appointment of an existing Trustee.    Consequently, the Board is seeking to appoint a new Trustee.  A Senior Clinical Trustee requires detailed knowledge of the structure and functioning of the organisation.  The appointment is usually for 3 years, renewable for a further 3 years.

Role of Trustees:

  • To provide robust governance to ensure that the Association is fulfilling its charitable aims.
  • To receive and approve an annual statement of accounts ahead of its presentation at the AGM.
  • To ensure a timely return to the Charities Commission.
  • To review and agree the Association’s strategy and assist the Executive Committee of Council with its development.
  • To formally approve recommendations from Council, ahead of their presentation at the AGM, for changes to the Constitution of the Association.

Person specification:

  • Current Senior Member or Ordinary Member of ACPGBI.
  • Applicants must have held a post on the Executive of ACPGBI (President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chair of a committee with seat on Executive).
  • Not currently holding a position within ACPGBI, other than membership of a subcommittee.
  • The applicant does not have to be engaged in clinical practice.

Interested members are asked to contact Graham Williams (Chairman of Board of Trustees) through Adele Sutton.

Deadline Monday 25 April 2022
