Two bursaries are available to consultants and surgeons in training to obtain experience of laparoscopic colorectal surgery.
These bursaries are intended to give successful applicants the opportunity to visit a centre of excellence for laparoscopic colorectal surgery.

Closing date for applications: Friday, 7th December 2018 Applicants must be an Ordinary or Associate member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland. They must be a resident of Great Britain or Ireland. Each bursary will be worth up to £2,500 and reimbursement will be made after completion of the training experience, submission of the relevant receipts to Anne O’Mara at the ACPGBI office and submission of a written report of their visit. The experience can be obtained throughout the UK and Europe. The written report of the visit will be posted on the ACPGBI website and included in the association’s newsletter. Funding for these bursaries is from an educational grant from Covidien received in 2008. How to apply A full Curriculum Vitae should be submitted giving details of all past and present appointments and publications, together with a detailed account of the proposed programme of travel, costs involved and objectives to be achieved during the Fellowship.
