The DoH Commissioning Board has launched a public consultation  for the specialised services clinical commissioning policies and service specifications. The consultation will run until 18th January 2012. Access the consultation at  http://www.commissioningboard.nhs.uk/ourwork/d-com/spec-serv/consult/   The areas that ACPGBI members may be interested in reading about are:

•  distal sacrectomy for advanced or recurrent rectal cancer
• complex surgical interventions for faecal incontinence
•  trans anal endoscopic micro surgery(TEMS)
•  intestinal failure
•  surgery for peritoneal carcinomatosis & HIPEC
