ACPGBI and BDRF have jointly sponsored the Royal College of Surgeons Surgical Specialty Lead in Coloproctology, Simon Bach, over the last four years. There is now a unique opportunity for a trainee to be appointed as an Associate Surgical Specialty Lead in Coloproctology.

Applications are open to ACPGBI trainee members only to apply for this prestigious position with opportunities to broaden research expertise. The position will be awarded for a year in the first instance, and may be renewable for a further year, giving a total one, or two, year commitment.

BDRF and ACPGBI were impressed with the strength of applications received for this new post to support Simon Bach’s role at RCS, and are delighted to announce that the shortlisted candidates invited for interview are:

  • Matthew Lee (Sheffield)
  • Hema Sekhar (Manchester)
  • Peter Vaughan-Shaw (Dundee)
