Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (the JAG) expressions of interest

The Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (the JAG) invites application from persons interested in taking up an important role in supporting the further development of quality assurance in endoscopy. The JAG wishes to appoint a Chair for the JAG QA of Units Working Group.
The Chair of the Units Working Group will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the QA of Units Working Group in developing policies and themes of work relevant to endoscopy service provision, the accreditation of provider units and the role of the JAG in delivering a quality assurance framework.
The appointment will be for two years, renewable for a further year by agreement and will be funded at 0.75 PA each, reimbursable to the post-holder’s employer.

Dr Neil Haslam, current Chair of the Working Group.

- Letter of application outlining their suitability for the role
- Short CV (focussed on endoscopy-related achievements and leadership experience)
- Letter of support from their employer confirming that appropriate time will be made available in their job plan to fulfil the role
Interview for short-listed applicants will be held at the Royal College of physicians in London on the afternoon of Thursday 17th December 2015
It is intended that the successful applicant will take up post as soon as possible after appointment to allow a period of overlap and handover from the current Chair to ensure a seamless transition of work in progress. The formal date of succession will be no later than 1st April 2016.
