I am a substantive General & Colorectal Consultant at The Royal Berkshire Hospital, Berkshire. I trained as a surgeon on the North East London general surgical rotation developing an interest in coloproctology. As part of my training I have worked at the trauma center at the Royal London Hospital and have worked at Colchester General Hospital which has been a pioneering Laparoscopic center.
During my training I have spent time in USA under the tutelage of Dr M Albert, at the South Florida Hospital Group. This group have pioneered modern advances in Trans-anal surgery and complex resections laparoscopically and robotically. I have completed further training under the care of Prof Peter Hewitt, QE II Hospital, Adelaide, Australia as a minimally invasive surgical fellow, but also gaining experience into HIPEC and pelvic floor surgery.
I have spent 3 years in formal research into pelvic floor dysfunction at University College Hospital London and has been the basis of my interest in this field.
