I was appointed as a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at the West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds in February 2015. I qualified from King’s College School of Medicine, London in 2000. I undertook my higher surgical training in the Oxford Deanery and was selected for a highly competitive national Ethicon Laparoscopic Colorectal fellowship in Nottingham in 2013.
My research interests include patient safety, colorectal cancer and pelvic floor disorders. My MD thesis was based on a quality improvement programme evaluating the translation of teamwork and communications methods from aviation to the operating theatre.
