Specialist Nurses – What Value?

Roy Lilley
Roy is an independent health policy analyst, writer, broadcaster and commentator on health and social issues. Often controversial, incredibly supportive of specialist nurses.

Roy will lead an interesting and interactive session with Ashford & St Peter’s Chief Nurse. They will discuss current issues relating to specialist practice – roles of specialist nurses, the value they provide to both patients and the NHS, how to raise their profile and demonstrate their worth,  re-validation etc.

Terri has been included in the first ever Nursing Times Leaders award, run in conjunction with NHS Employers, which celebrates and recognises nurses who have been inspirational role models. The judges commented  ‘a real champion for colorectal nursing and specialist nursing in general)

Terri will present the Apollo Nursing Resource, an online resource to help the specialist nurse community communicate their work to others for the benefit of patients. Includes templates for job plans, annual reports, NMC revalidation and much more.

Roy and Terri will jointly present  Academy of Fabulous Stuff, StomaCareTheVision, Fab Change Week
