DESCRIPTION:With increasing pressure on our clinical services, is it time to look again at the 2 Week Wait and MDT process?Involving expert opinion from across the disciplines, this meeting will examine current best practice, identify areas for improvement and give participants a basis to adapt practice according to a local resource. It is a must for all those involved in the management of colorectal cancer.Come to the meeting and help influence the future.Topics includeCurrent best practice for urgent investigation of patients with suspected colorectal carcinomaThe role of the multidisciplinary team in the management of colorectal carcinomaHow to adapt your own practice to local expertise and facilitiesThe importance of communication between medical disciplinesA multidisciplinary approachThe meeting will review the evidence in favour of the multidisciplinary team in the management of colorectal carcinoma. It will explore ways of optimising the urgent investigation of high-risk patients and allow for a more effective multidisciplinary team approach.Bursary places for traineesTen bursary places are available for trainees on a first come first serve basis for £10.
