This virtual course will teach the core concepts of risk stratification using family history as a tool to enable patients to access appropriate management strategies.\n\nCourse aims\n\nThe course is designed for all healthcare professionals working in primary care and specialist settings including oncology, breast care, gynae-oncology, gastroenterology and screening services. Participants will be equipped with the basics of cancer genetic counselling and sessions will include approaches to genetic testing, management of hereditary cancers and consent taking.\n\nTBC CPD points\n\nAwarded by Nucleus\n\nWho should attend\n\nThis course is designed for all healthcare professionals working in primary care and specialist settings including oncology, breast care, gynae-oncology, gastroenterology and screening services.\n\nFormat\n\nThis course pass includes e learning:\n\nAccess to Nucleus where you will complete compulsory self-study day either on the 21st of April 2026 or in your own time before the 18th May 2026.\n\nSix half day didactic morning sessions on Zoom. Upon purchasing your pass you will receive your Nucleus login within 48 hours. The course teaches the key concepts every health practitioner needs to know about cancer genomics. It consists of four modules that cover the basic principles of cancer genomics, ranging from cancer biology to hereditary cancer risk assessment to the utility of precision oncology in cancer treatment. It provides users with a solid understanding of these fundamental concepts and how to apply this knowledge to daily clinical practice. Additionally, as genomics becomes universally applied in healthcare, many questions will naturally arise. You will also be able to join our online Slack community via Nucleus to have direct contact with the content developers, as well as other like-minded healthcare professionals.\n\nInformation:\n\nUpon complete of the course delegates will receive a certificate of attendance\n(Please note these sessions will not be repeated nor will they be recorded)\n\n
