Dear Members
We are writing to remind members to remain vigilant following the phishing emails that some of you have received in recent days.
We want to reassure you that there has been no further data breach involving our third-party membership database provider. The phishing emails are a consequence of email addresses associated with ACPGBI having been exposed during the previously reported third-party incident. Unfortunately, this means that some members may continue to receive fraudulent emails that appear to relate to ACPGBI.
Please do not respond to these emails, click on any links, or make any payments in response to them.
ACPGBI will never ask you to renew your membership or make a payment via unsolicited emails in this format.
The safest and most secure way to renew your membership is by visiting the ACPGBI website and setting up a Direct Debit. We strongly recommend this method rather than making one-off credit or debit card payments in response to emails.
If you are ever unsure whether a communication is genuine, please contact the ACPGBI office directly before taking any action.
Thank you for your continued vigilance and for reporting suspicious emails to us. Your reports help us monitor the situation and keep other members informed.
Kind regards,
Jim Khan
President ACPGBI
