This prestigious programme offers an outstanding opportunity to gain high-volume, hands-on experience in robotic colorectal surgery while preparing you to become a future leader in the specialty.

Fellowship Highlights

• Up to four funded fellowship places available
• Six-month fellowships at leading robotic colorectal centres
• SIM and wet lab training

Training at:

• Colchester Hospital, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust
• NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde/ NHS Lanarkshire
   
• Two fellows will commence in October 2026
• Two fellows will commence in April 2027

Funding covers salary in line with your training grade
Complimentary registration to the ACPGBI Annual Scientific Meeting and the Advanced Coloproctology Course during your fellowship year

Eligibility
Applicants must:

• Have successfully attained the FRCS
• Be a current ACPGBI or Dukes' Club member
• Demonstrate Level 4 competencies required for CCT
• Show a clear commitment to developing and advancing robotic colorectal surgery following completion of the fellowship

Successful fellows will also be expected to:

• Submit a fellowship report to ACPGBI
• Provide a logbook of procedures performed following the fellowship

A letter of support

Applications will be shortlisted, with selected candidates invited to interview.
