The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Comprehensive Clinical Research Network (CCRN) includes a Surgery Subspecialty Group. The remit of the group is to support a national portfolio of structured research studies in the field of surgical medicine. The portfolio includes gastrointestinal surgery.
