Price Thomas Travelling Fellowships
The Price Thomas Travelling Fellowships are offered by the Travelling Surgical Society of Great Britain and Ireland to two UK/Ireland based surgeons who are at ST7 level or above by March 2012 and to consultants within 10 years of first appointment. The awards are available to surgeons in the following specialties:
Breast Surgery
Vascular Surgery
Colorectal Surgery
Upper GI Surgery
Hepato-pancreatico-biliary Surgery
Endocrine Surgery
Cardiothoracic Surgery
Plastic Surgery
Urology
General Paediatric Surgery
Transplantation Surgery
Military Surgery
The 2012 winners will travel with the Travelling Surgical Society to Belfast and Dublin (provisionally) from 21 to 28 April 2012. The winners will present at least two papers each during this trip. The fellowships will cover all travel and hotel expenses, as well as some meals.
Partners are encouraged to travel, but are expected to meet their own travel costs. Further details are available from the honorary secretary of the society, Mr Terry Irwin (secretary@travellingsurgeon.org)
