Council Explained

What is the Council and What Does it do ?

The business of The Association is conducted by the Council which consists of the Officers of The Association, Chapter Representatives, five other non-surgical representatives (gastroenterology, oncology, histopathology, radiology and Chairman of the Nursing Chapter or his or her representative) and President of the Dukes’ Club (or his or her representative), the Chairman of the Bowel Disease Research Foundation and a representative from the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS). All Officers and Ordinary Members of Council together with the Chairman of the Nursing Forum and the President of the Dukes’ Club have full voting rights. The BSG and AUGIS representatives do not have voting rights.
